ABOUT THE SALTVÍK TOUR

This tour is suitable for beginners and experienced riders, as well as families with children from the age of 8 yrs.
The Saltvík tour offers a nice ride over soft trails along the hillside behind the farm, from where we’ll have a nice view over Skjálfandi bay and the mountains on the other side. The trails partly lead through sheltered blueberry fields, which provides a great, peaceful atmosphere. 
Our horses are strong, safe and experienced and we do our best to find the perfect match for each rider. All tours will be guided by a guide from Saltvík who also gives some necessary information about the ride before we head out.
All our tours start inside the ridinghall at Saltvík farm. Upon arrival at the farm you can drive up to the stable/ridinghall where you can park your car and will meet your guide preparing the horses inside.
Our weight limit for all tours is 110 kg

We kindly ask you to respect the weight limit of 110 kg we have set for the well-being of our horses. While you will probably only ride once 1-1,5 hour with us, our horses will walk those tours (almost) every day for several months in a row. We highly care for them and above all we want to do everything to keep them happy and healthy, which also will give you the best of experiences!
