ABOUT THE WINTER SEASIDE TOUR
This tour is suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders!
In winter and early spring, the scenery along the coastline near Húsavík can be absolutely stunning. Nothing beats going out for a ride through the pristine white landscape with a wide view over the deep blue ocean and the snowy mountains on the other side of the bay.
Because much of the winter and spring our regular trails will be blocked by too much snow or simply be too slippery, we now offer an adapted version of our popular Seaside tour during this period of the year. The ride will take you as much and as close to the coastline as possible, depending on the weather and ground conditions.
Our horses are strong and experienced and we do our best to find the perfect match for each rider. A guide from Saltvík leads all tours and gives necessary information about the ride before the tour starts.
Our weight limit for all tours is 110 kg
We kindly ask you to respect the weight limit of 110 kg we have set for the well-being of our horses. While you will probably only ride once 1-1,5 hour with us, our horses will walk those tours (almost) every day for several months in a row. We highly care for them and above all we want to do everything to keep them happy and healthy, which also will give you the best of experiences!
